The Boy Scouts of America have completed the purchase of 11,000 acres in Fayette and Raleigh counties for a new high-adventure base, a scout spokesman told the Beckley Register-Herald. The transaction closed on Tuesday, scout spokesman David Lavalle told the newspaper.
