Attempted burglary leads to standoff, arrests in Alto

33-year-old Upshur Co. man identified as crash victim

An Upshur County man was killed in a one-vehicle crash Monday evening. The Texas Department of Public Safety said 33-year-old Shahzad Ali Sultan of Ore City was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident just after 5 p.m. The crash occurred on Farm to Market 1649 near Ore City.
