I would be concerned that all the picks seem to be elitist professionals who may be out of touch with the "everyday" people of the township. Bethlehem Township has a similar problem of an elitist clique running the government and the concerns of the majoroty are ignored. Talent does not alwasy equal common sense!

The Treasurer is not qualified unless his job duties include sleeping on the job which he has mastered at City Hall in Bethlehem. Unfortunately for Lower Macungie taxpayers your tax dollars will not be hard at work with the Treasurer. Daryl will use these two years to do nothing and collect a paycheck.

Also, the article states he was deputy controller since March of 1999, but he has only been in that position since 2007. Did he lie about his job history to get the position? The township should check into this.

Seems the court did a fine job selecting the new commissioners. They picked people who seem to have excellent qualifications and they steered away from controversial selections on both sides of the spectrum. Good Luck to the LMT and the new board.

Macungie already has a police department. |
