Firefighters in Raleigh County spent the evening battling a barn fire on Nov. 19. Emergency dispatchers said the fire was reported just after 6 p.m. The barn was located just passed the Glade Creek Estates on Mount View Road in Cool Ridge.

Raleigh County firefighters battled two fires, at the same house and just less than 12 hours apart, which they are calling suspicious.

A Raleigh County woman is facing charges for stealing other people's mail. Beckley Police Detectives arrested Amanda Marie McKinney, 25, of Ghent after they said she stole mail from mailboxes and post office boxes for over a month.
