Police: East Berlin man says he had sex with minor in church youth group

It appears that this man suffered a guilty conscience and looked for a way to admit his guilt. We have to be grateful that he recognized his problem and looked for some type of guidance. Obliviously the Pastor stepped in to provide that guidance. I do not condone the act he committed but at least he is trying to help himself which is more than others would do if in the same situation. In similar situations the ending could have been a lot worse.
Lesson learned, the World Wide Internet is a great tool if used properly however it does have a dark side that some should avoid.

Nice that he turned himself in after feeling guilty, but too bad he did not think of the guilt before getting involved with this teen or with the porn. Thinking of consequences could have meant he would have avoided the entire situation.

The next thing he will say is the devil made him do it . And He has been delivered .

And God has forgiven him and he has suffered enough for his sin .

Tell that to the then 14 yr. old whose trust has been abused by yet another person in Authority .

I totality agree BUT this POOR LITTLE GIRL at the age of 14 or 15 I feel certain she knew what she was doing was wrong so what she goes back for seconds. Ask why to the then 14 or 15yr. old whose trust and went back for more so you tell me WHATS UP WITH THAT?? Has been abused by yet another person in Authority maybe?????

She new exactly what she was doing. When I was 15 I was with a 23 year old. We both knew what would happen if caught. She knew.

Maybe you need to consider they corrected the article after reading the post. Don't come stumbling onto an article two days after it was posted and expect their glaring mistake to still be visible...

Now, before you jump on me for being on the side of the young man let me clear things up. What he did was wrong and he should face a punishment of some type. But is he a rapist? No. Is he a child molester? No. Is he going to be a threat to society? My guess would be no to that as well. I believe this is a young man that has made a terrible choice and must now pay the price of being labeled for the rest of his life. That is a huge injustice in my book, especially if the girl is not held accountable for her actions in any way. Yes he was the adult, but no she wasn't a victim or innocent party in my eyes either.

You make a very valid point. I saw the way some of the girls were dressed for Halloween. It's disturbing how sexy the girls dress today.

These days girls are having sex at younger and younger ages. Its publisized everywhere! However young, these girls know what they are doing. This sort of thing only happens when her parents find out and she's too ashamed of herself to admit to them she was wrong. Now the Man takes all the blame and everyone pity the poor innocent girl. I personaly would like to see the sweat beading on the heads of the other men she slept with...

Either way you look at it this man should have kept it in his pants .
The law is their to protect young adults too . They make bad choices . That's why anyone under 18 yrs. is " jail-bait " . Every 18 yr. old man knows this law . He knew it was wrong , she knew it was wrong . She gets a talking to from her parents and goes for STD testing and counseling .
He gets arrested and goes to jail and register for the rest of his life .

I believe many times the minor may be a willing participant and may even lead the older person on. However, if you're under 18 you are a minor and minors are protected under the law. The adult has a responsibility to refrain from engaging in this kind of conduct with a minor. The minor shares no blame in this. It is all on the adult.

Provincial East Berlin be "Mayberry" when compared to Cesspool York.
