Former Adams County teacher arrested for alleged sex assault

Nathan Lee Stock, 38, of East Berlin, is charged with institutional sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault and four counts of corruption of minors, according to court records. Stock allegedly had sexual contact with a student at his home, as well as at the student's home between 2010 and 2013, according to a news release from state police in Gettysburg.

Eisenhower Society plans luncheon Oct. 11

Bean Soup and Pulled Pork Sandwich Sale on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the G.A.R. Hall, 53 E. Middle St. As was done starting in 1894, the G.A.R. Everyday Hero: Local rockers raise money for soup kitchen

Brandon Glorioso, 17, a senior at Gettysburg Area High School, helped create the benefit concert LiveHappyNotHungry with fellow bandmate James Greeneltch and help from family and friends. The concert, held for the second year in a row at the Gettysburg Fireman's Carnival in June this year, has helped the Gettysburg Community Soup Kitchen by collecting funds and food donations.

Marijuana, mushrooms, LSD and moonshine were found in the car of a 20-year-old Gardners man who led police on a chase early Sunday in Adams County, state police said. James Neville Farley was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, fleeing from police and possession of drugs with intent to deliver, state police at Gettysburg said today.
