Georgetown bat found in building was infected with rabies
A bat infected with rabies was found Wednesday at the Williamson County Inner Loop Annex office building, 301 S.E. Inner Loop, in Georgetown. Williamson County Sheriff's Office Animal Control responded to a call regarding a bat on the ground on the east side of the building at approximately 10 a.m. Anyone who had contact with the bat that morning is urged to call Animal Control at 512-864-8282 or the Texas Department of State Health Services at 254-778-6744.
