Whitley County Sheriff's deputies arrested three people in the Powers Hollow Road area of Gatliff while investigating two different drug tips late Wednesday evening.

At 3:10 p.m, National Weather Service indicated a tornado near Dixie, seven miles east of Williamsburg, moving southeast at 30 mph.

A woman pleads guilty to her role in a Whitley County murder case. The prosecutor says Tammy Podsaid admitted that she was the one who got rid of a blood-stained shirt used in the murder of Larry Jones.

At 5:11 p.m. Friday a tornado warning was issued by the National Weather Service in Jackson for Southeast Whitley County, Bell County and South Central Knox County.

Authorities in Whitley County are looking for the man they say led police on a wild chase Sunday evening and was able to get away on foot through a heavily forested area.

Police in Whitley County say the crime spree started about 3 months ago, when burglaries were occurring as frequently as 5 to 10 each week.

A fugitive is on the run from authorities in southern Kentucky. Police are searching in a wooded area in the Gatliff community of Whitley County, just southeast of Williamsburg.

A man on the run for days is now in police custody. Police arrested Timothy Taylor overnight.

Two of three fugitives accused of breaking into a pharmacy and launching a three-month crime spree have been arrested, however the third is still on the run.
