More than 100 animals rescued from hellish conditions on ranch

A total of 102 animals - including nine dogs, a cat, 20 pigs, seven donkeys, 13 chickens, three ducks, 13 sheep, 25 geese and seven rabbits - were acquired by the Susquehanna Animal Shelter on Saturday. The animals were saved from a 26-acre farm in Garrattsville in the town of New Lisbon after the SAS assisted the Otsego County Sheriff's Department in an animal cruelty investigation.
