People can get just as drunk on wine and beer as hard liquor. I see no difference. If you want to get rid of crime and blight, get rid of establishments like this that perpetuate such unwanted social ills. We have the same problem in our area. Note: Decent people are home with their families after work and on the weekends. This was the standard when I was growing up. I say - bring back the standard!

I used to live near here and thankfully was able to move away. That place is a crime magnet. I can't beleive it is even still open. Talk about a hairy armpit of a place.

I have to disagree with you. I used to work those armpit clubs in that area, and trust me: people get meaner on hard liquor. Yes, they will get drunk with beer and wine, but hard liquor causes more brawls and overall peoblems than the "softer" beverages; I speak from 3 years of experience in that business. However, I agree with the rest of your thoughts.

Just by the picture of this place, it depicts DUMP. Instead of trying to increase the liquor sales, why not increase the probability of demolishing this pit? Gardena has truly become a disgusting "city." But then again...look at the people who live there!

Gardena residents:
E-mail your city council members and express your dissatisfaction! I wouldn't want that place near me either. As for "YUCK"'s cheap comment, I doubt those patrons come from the immediate Gardena area! The residents of that neighborhood deserve better from the city leaders!
Demolish it and put in a Starbucks!!!

Funny you say that. Because I always thought that place was considered Hawthorne. But now I know it's Gardena. and yes, it is a dump.. but I don't think Gardena is a disgusting city (well this area of course is). Try walking across the street in Hawthorne, talk about disgust. You'll be lucky if you can make it down 139th street alive! If it's not a bullet that hits you, it sure will be all that trash on their streets!!

I hate to say it's a dump too! Years ago it wasn't that bad. I love to hit that club before i went home. I love the soca music and the crowd. Now its rundown charging too much for entrance and the music is crappy. Its funny all these years at least they could've painted the building and bring the establishment uptopar? It's all about the money! That's the problem in gardena the clubs and bars attrach lowlifes and thugs.

Come to think of it yeah, that IS Hawthorne isn't it? Not Gardena. It is right near the Baskin-Robbins.

Funny how all the comments come from people NOT living in Gardena.

Stay at home and drink folks. Who wants to party with a bunch of losers? A: Other losers.
