Rep. Karen Boback reminds eligible Persian Gulf War veterans that they have until the end of August to collect a special one-time payment to honor their service and sacrifice from the Pennsylvania Department of Military Affairs, applications for the Persian Gulf Conflict Veterans Bonus are due by Aug. 31, bonus program pays $75/month for qualifying, active-duty service members, up to a $525 maximum, for personnel whose death was related to illness or injury received in the line of duty in Operations Desert Shield or Desert Storm, an additional $5,000 is available to the surviving family.
