Jeff, stay with it. It's not going to be easy because of this economic time.

I believe the entrance and exit on Grand Avenue, the one with the island is of bad design and will hamper entrance and exiting to and from the center.

I am of the belief that the center island should be removed and made part of the entrance and exit (no island at all).

I've observed this shopping center entrance for many years and have thought it a bad design that discourages shoppers from entering the center, because of the island. It also makes for tire scrubbing and shock banging when the island is hit because it is not a straight shot to get into the center.

I suggest bringing this to the engineers and the people that designed the layout of the mall for a second opinion.

Other than that, looks good.- Best Always!

actually the mexican population is also moving out to Bensenville. If you go down Franklin Avenue.. most of the small Mexican business have actually also left so FP now has Nothing. Dont dwell on Franklin avenue.. what about all the empty factory business buildings on King Street (off of River Road),Belmont Avenue, East of Rose.. there are about 3or 4. The empty building that once housed Matsushita on Grand..and now I keep seeing small businesses close shop on Grand. First the Big companies left, and now small business is closing up. This is not a good sign. Usually businesses close and new ones come to take their place. Nowadays, that is not the case.

The spanish folks lived in Franklin Park because they had jobs in the factories in Franklin Park. They actually were a plus because they kept the factories going and then they spent their money in their own businesses in Franklin Park. Now the factories are closed and empty so they have moved to where the jobs are.. like Aurora. Now there is nothing. The white population would not choose to live in Franklin Park since their office jobs are either downtown, or Naperville so they moved closer to their jobs and their communities are nicer. Now no one is moving to FP. Our population consists of Retired people who have been here a long time and younger immigrant families who see FP as a value and a stepping stone to nicer communities like Naperville.
