Illinois woman dies after nearly drowning off Okaloosa Island

An Illinois woman, who nearly drowned while swimming in the Gulf of Mexico off Okaloosa Island, died in the intensive care unit at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, said an Okaloosa County Sheriff's press release.
