The police were not called to come to the house for a domestic abuse complaint. I beleive someone dosn't know how to keep their stories straight. Not pointing fingers > (police) Mrs. Berry made a complaint at the police station. She stated she did not want him arrested or to press charges, she was making the report under the advice of her divorce attorney. The police sent a car to the house while she was still at the station, and had another follow her home. She was unaware of both patrol cars. This really pisses me off. So anyone can pull up to the P.D. file an abuse complaint and then a patrol car is sent to arrest the alledged abuser. NO! NO! If the police are called to the seen of the alledged domestic abuse they will do a little questioning, arrest one or both persons. When making a complaint at the station the report goes to the prosicuting attorny and it is investigated and he alone decides weather there is enough evidence to prosicute. The police were out of line!!!

You are wrong actually. New laws were passed about 5 years ago. They are not supposed to dual arrests anymore because someone IS a victim. They are supposed to find out who that person is and arrest only them. One person is defending themselves. Then, in a domestic situation the DA and only the DA can file charges after a complaint is made. It is victimless prosecution law. They do not need or ask for the womans cooperstion. You can no longer go and have a report made without the police coming. Her lawyer would have known that so I don't think there is validity to your story.

I for one think the police had every right to go to the home.If the police would made it a priority to check up on all domestic disputes maybe lives of both victim & attacker could be spared. If the police would keep track of the recorded of times the are called to a home there could be a pattern there(unsure if they were ever called to the home before)Now days a spouse may be quick to call local law enforcement but is also quick to what to change their minds. You never what to think someone that loves you would what to harm you.I would never put someone down for drinking but while intoxicated you never know what someones actions might be.Its so easy to turn a blind eye to someones faults if you love them but keep in mind it only takes a second to pull a trigger a life be lose.My heart goes out to his family but also to hes soon to be Ex & her family.I hope in light of whats happened that family's & law enforcement open there eyes to what is taken place in these domestic disputes. Some of us would like to say if I had only known but the truth of the matter is sometimes you do and turn your back on it or gave up trying to make people see that they one day may lose there life if they stay.Keep in mind Domestic violence takes place everyday by both man and women. To law enforcement"Take the time to look at what is going on in the home with domestic disputes because you might save a life of someone that is every much loved.

Daily Horoscope for November 30

Aquarius

You may feel mildly agitated as the sensitive Moon clashes with your life-ruler. Personal difficulties with family members or necessary home repairs may disrupt your day. Deal directly with problems no matter how much you would rather procrastinate. What you avoid today is likely to escalate into a much bigger problem for you to solve tomorrow.
