On a bright and breezy autumnal morning, 20 amateur and master sand sculptors did what sand sculptors do.

Rain chances are very low both Saturday and Sunday but I wouldn't be too shocked if a very brief, isolated shower rode across the state on the easterly wind. Speaking of wind, there will be a pretty noticeable northeast/east wind this weekend. Expect wind speeds of 10 - 20 mph. Boaters; use a little common sense regarding the wind. Conditions off shore will be rough but staying on the inland waterways and close to the beaches will likely be OK. Except choppy conditions even on inland waterways. 'Ida' has moved back over warm water in the Western Caribbean and could regain some strength this weekend. The storm continues to move to the north and this motion should put Ida into the Gulf of Mexico next week. This means that you'll need to be very aware of the forecast starting Monday. FORT MYERS: The 27th Annual Taste of the Town comes to downtown Fort Myers Sunday. More than 40 vendors from across Lee County will bring their delicacies to Centennial Park for the public to taste. The event will also feature local music and a kids entertainment area. It's all for a great cause, hosted by the Junior League of Fort Myers. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Each dish costs no more than five dollars, and kids under 10 years old get free admission. The money raised goes right back into the local community.
