all I have to say is, I agree. My fiance' has been there almost 5 months, when he was promised it would only be 3. His letters from his mother, sister, and even some of my own have been refused and sent back to us more than twice. We hardly get phone calls as well, "saying that the phone lines are acting up"? It has been a very hard road for him and I. I had to move in with his family just to get back on my feet. He was court martialed for being AWOL twice, the judge said in a news paper in fort hood, texas. He wants to teach the rest who try, a lesson.? my fiance' served 8 years and 2 tours to afghanistan. Him and other soldiers should get some other recognition then being "thrown to the dogs"! Our children and myself are devestated and cry nightly. I just want him home so we can start our life together...

this is what i have to say my husband serve7years and 1 tour to Afghanistan and 1 to Iraq he was a good soldier and now he is being mistreated. I don't think its fair that they are being treated the way they are because if he went AWOL its for the the situations that the Army put him in to because he did love being a soldier and what he was doing. Its just that the Armed Forces sometimes are really unfair for the people who are serving and they are willing to give their lives and this is how they pay back. I was in fertility treatment they didn't want to pay for it, and we really wanted to have a baby so the state of new york helped us and it was really depressing for both of us. We didn't have enough money to pay for the treatment and for all the reasons we left, now we have a three month baby boy and he doesn't even know him because he is in prison were he is being mistreated.

I am very sorry patricia. I am right there with you. It doesn't seem fair at all. They served, protected, and loved what they were doing and the only recognition they get,is being treated like they were actual "inmates" at just another prison. Its wrong and should be addressed, I am trying my best to do that as we speak hun. ;) I pray your husband and mine stay strong through all this.
