The military will do everything it can to create a situation where no one who should be held accountable ever it.

Make the victim the criminal, and let them hang out to dry. Let the public (and the perpetrator) know where they are, and then drop it.

Holding the Post General accountable is what a civilian can do. We do that all the time.

Please keep this story moving through your friends and family - especially if they know a woman in the military - though statistics show that the total number of men raped in the military is higher.

This is a problem the Armed Forces will not fix.

Tell your friends before enlisting, if they are raped, "they are on their own."

I see that the army still operates on the principle of Mind Over Matter.
They don't mind and You Don't Matter.

No change since the 60s.

'nuff said.

I don't know what happened in this case but I can tell you that the Army does take this very serious. Not only have I had to assist someone that was sexually assualted, I know for a fact the assualter was court martialed. And for you civilians that is a federal offense. Second, the Army has hired more prosecutors for the sole job of prosecuting sexual assualts. So before you put down the Army, please do your research and talk to the Fort Lewis Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program cordintator, who by the way is a civilian. We are not perfect but the Army is striving to combat this problem.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Leo

A loved one is being rather tetchy today. It won't take much to get on their nerves, even if you think they're being grossly unfair about it. Try not to make the situation worse by being sarcastic or provocative. Instead, encourage them to tell you what's wrong but without raising their voice. Once you know what you've done to irritate them you can start to put it right.
