Fog foils fireworks a " again

Once again, Mother Nature shrouded the fireworks from most spectators on July 3, but could not quell the party happening on Noyo Beach.

There was a major malfunction in planning/engineering as you could barely even hear the fireworks from the beach or highway one. fog wasn't at fault. previous years the sound was part of the excitement; the explosions are much louder than any of the amateur fireworks. they shot them out into the ocean off of todd's point, instead of off the mill site in front of the noyo beach cove. what a waste of money. what a dissappointment.

the fire works have to be the one of the worst in the nation.$1400 for the "display" what a joke/ stop the bs and focus on you failed economy and lack of tourism and diversity

What a waste of money- this happens every year! Why dont they wait till a clear nite to do it when we are fogged in like that!! Should we start a petition???

there were alot better fireworks the night after on the fourth. they weren't professional but who ever made that happen had some skill.

And you can go ahead and pay for the pyrotechnics to stay in town night after night watching and waiting....
