Alabama mayor under investigation after postponing runoff elections
The Tuscaloosa News reports Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill said the actions of Mayor Ollie Vester were "inappropriate" and that she had no authority to cancel the Oct. 4 runoff. "There are a number of things that occurred in the administration of the runoff election in Forkland that were inappropriate," Merrill said.
