Bell tolls new year

Atop the hill overlooking the village of Forestville is a school; in front of this school is a bell, and on this bell tower is a small plaque that reads "In grateful recognition of a life well lived, and a legacy worthy of remembering" in dedication to Agnes Howard who loved the bell and the school with all her heart. Family, friends, students, faculty, and board of education officials stood around the historic Forestville Central School bell Wednesday morning to honor the person who gave everything to keep the tradition alive.
