A Delaware County man accused of killing the family dog with a 30-inch-long sword is being held on animal cruelty charges.

Three motorists were transported to Crozier-Chester Medical Center after two cars collided at the intersection of state highway 45 and Franklinville Road, police said.

Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell visited Ridley High School in Folsom on Thursday, to push for increased state education funding.
