IF WE CAN'T VOTE, DOES THAT MEAN THEY WILL REFUND OUR TAX MONEY TO US? Somebody needs to have a stranglehold on these folks, and they need to choke them to death. Developers have long outworn their welcome in this town and many others with their benevolent butt-kissing exchange with local governments, and now they tell us many city residents may not be able to vote. Personally, I would like to see us all withold our local, state, and federal tax money until these people start working for the majority, and not the special interest, money donating (vote buying) interest they have been in bed with. That will never happen though, as most people are too complacent to speak up. Too bad!!!

After the former Mayor of Foley abrupty resigned less than 2-weeks before a major and costly investigation report was to be released into improprieties concerning the City Council and police department after over 10 years in office, nothing would surprise me about corruption in Foley.

Don't forget that Mayor who resigned is a property and real estate developer "silent partner". With his "Insider Knowledge" he has bought many parcels of land for his friends to develop so he reaps the benefits. Watch what happens to the old Siebert property in Elberta and the property at the corner of Cypress and Orange in Foley.

Riley who appointed the former Mayor as Commissioner of Revenue for the State of Alabama with all those clowds over the former Mayor's head.

Who do you think allegedly furnished the negative information about the former governor that permitted Riley to be elected??

That's exactly what I heard and that is how Riley paid him back.
