The menu will consist of ham, macaroni and cheese. peas, rolls and fruit pies with cool whip. The price is $5 per person or $15 for a family. A childrens Easter movie will be shown following the meal. Lenten service offered: Central United Methodist Church will offer a Lenten service, followed by a light lunch, beginning at noon Wednesday. Donations will be accepted to benefit homeless prevention. The speaker will be Taylor Mertins. Earth Day celebration announced: This year's Earth Day Staunton celebration is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon April 12 in the Sunspots Studios parking lot near Staunton Farmers Market. The event will feature child-oriented activities, live native wildlife shows, face painting, a puppet show, native plant sale and more. Admission is free. Activities are sponsored by Sigora Solar and Virginia Eagle. Jazz Cafe at Temple House of Israel: Nadine Chase and her jazz musicians will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday at Temple House of Israel. She will sing new versions of jazz favorites. Admission will cost $10 (cash or check only) for adults. Children ages 12 and younger will be admitted for free. Bring your own wine. Boy Scouts to sell barbecued chicken: Boy Scout Troop 11 of Fishersville will sell barbecued chicken April 5 on the parking lot of Fishersville Baptist Church.
