A Fishersville man -- and former doctor -- who was operating a heating, ventilation and air-conditioning business without a license was convicted Tuesday on a misdemeanor charge of violating the state's profession and occupation act.

A Staunton man who molested a young girl on Christmas Eve will spend the next five years in prison after being convicted Tuesday morning in Staunton Circuit Court.
