A hiking accident has killed one person in the Madera County Mountains.

The Madera County Sheriff's Department says a couple was hiking near Tenaya Falls near Fish Camp -- when the husband slipped and fell into a pool of water.

A 67-year-old Norwalk man hiking with his wife in the hills above Fish Camp died today when he slipped and fell into a pool of water below a water fall, the Madera County Sheriff's Department said.
