Burnside citizens need to take back their town. We need a few solid people to run for office and get rid of most of whats already there. I'm tired of our laws being ignored. I'm tired of the almighty dollar being the ruling factor in everything that comes up. Everyone would like to know about the city's financial situation. What's owed and to whom and for what. I remember when the actual bills were put on the table before the council and openly discussed. Now someone just makes a motion to pay the bills and no one is aware of what they are. How do you vote to pay a bill when you don't know who it's to or what it's for? I'd like to see someone with some sense run for mayor, like Ron Jones or Joyce Gregory. At least they'd know what they're doing and they are both aware of the laws. Deloris Sizelove was the last decent mayor we've had. Before that Jim Brooks was great. He didn't make a difference in our citizens. But first, we must clean up the voting register and get rid of those who vote here but do not live here. I know.....I'm dreaming of a perfect place and that's certainly not Burnside. What a shame. And it use to be such a wonderful town, so full of charm and charisma where everyone not only knew each other but genuinely cared about the other's well being.

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Cancer

Someone dear to your heart isn't exactly a barrel of laughs today, are they? Is it your imagination or are they taking a perverse delight in spreading doom and gloom in all directions? If they've got good reason to be miserable then they deserve your sympathy, but even so it may not last for long. Try to keep active and cheerful, otherwise you'll also develop a tendency to brood.
