PLATTEVILLE - The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi has announced Chris Kusiak of Fenwood, a student at University of Wisconsin-Platteville, recently was initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, a collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

The 31st annual Schaefer Family Progressive Dinner was held recently with six families contributing culinary delights and all 41 participants sampling food and sharing memories of earlier dinners attended by their recently departed mother/grandma, Christine Schaefer.

As residents gear up for their Memorial Day holiday, organizations across northcentral Wisconsin have scheduled services to honor all Americans who have died in wars.

The Burma Forest all-terrain vehicle trail and the ATV trail from Edgar to Fenwood both are closed, effectively immediately, the Wausau and Marathon County Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department announced today.
