Cass Lake man sentenced on burglary charges
A 27-year-old Cass Lake man was sentenced to more than nine years in prison for his participation with two accomplices in eight felony crimes against two separate victims, Cass County Attorney Christopher Strandlie reported Monday.
Dog triggers shotgun, shoots hunter in Cass County
The man, who hasn't been named, was hunting Sunday morning on Leech River near Federal Dam when a hunting dog jumped into the boat and engaged the trigger of a shotgun, causing it to discharge, according to the Cass County Sheriff's Office.

Cass County authorities received a report of a robbery at a residence in the Sugar Point area, near Federal Dam at approximately 6:45 a.m. on July 2. Officers arrived on scene and learned that there had been a home invasion and an assault at the residence.
