So what happens now...Will the state board take over as some have suggested or will things just go on as they have since the last vote failed in 2001.

It wont be until 2011 that another plan can be submitted to the SBA for additional funding for any project, so baring that the state doesn't consolidate schools between now and then what does everyone want to happen since the 4 in 1 was a no go.

I seriously doubt there is ever going to be a plan that everyone is going to like. Do we try to consolidate Trail and Fayetteville and put Mt Hope into Oakhill?
Would the state go for that seeing that it was rumored they only wanted to fund 3 high schools in fayette county?
exactly

You know the state can order schools closed without an election or a take over. They don;t have to take over the county to close schools. You just won't get a nice new one. Instead the kids will be crammed into an old nasty one.

this all happened in McDowell county a few years ago, people fought it for a few years, eventually the school board will take over and they will consolidate the schools with no voting on it, it is just a matter of time til they will do it anyhow
