Fire department controversy is overblown

Full story: Farmington Daily Times

I would like to take a moment to support our Farmington Fire Department. The negative image that has been portrayed of past and present employees is very disheartening.

Alyssa, I cannot believe your arrogance in saying 'The Daily Times would like us to believe that'. It is the papers responsibility to the people to report the facts - you would like the people to believe that the criminal issues with the FFD are the paper's fault.
The fault rests on the current City of Farmington's: Administration, Mayor, and City Councilors. Why do you think the Mayor and one of the City Councilors decided not to run for reelection ?
What has become visible to the public in the FFD is most probably the 'tip of the iceberg'. With an annual budget exceeding $220 million, the experts tell us 30% or $66 million annually goes to waste, fraud and abuse - the Citizens of Farmington are too intelligent to believe it is limited to one City Department and they thoroughly appreciate the men and women of the FFD.'These men are there when you have a car accident, when you are having health problems, when your property is in danger, and they show up fast, professionally and happy to assist with even the most minimal of duties'.

Have you yourself any proof that this is "the tip of the iceburg"?? I interact with FFD almost daily. These guys are great people. Please don't judge them all by the one who did bad.

I can assure you that the COF is not wasting 66 million dollars on waste and fraud. Makes for good reading if you are an idiot and would believe such fiction as truth.

If it was over blown why was the FPD given a directive to destroy seized files taken from the FFD. Also why was the investigation of Brown handled internally. Look a little deeper into Browns spending habits on his city card and you'll see it wasn't overblown. Covered up yes overblown no.

Yes you are Crazy and here you go again...Writing and then answering yourself (tosad). No one else seemingly notices your brilliance so you have to answer yourself!! Haha You are obviously a disgruntled city employee upset because your free internet has been shut off in your work place. Now you have to get up and post hateful things before you go into work. Why don't you just take your big fat government pension and retire?
