<![CDATA[RICHMOND, Ind. - Ruth E. Cooley, age 96, of Richmond, died Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Friends Fellowship Community. Born April 3, 1917, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Elmer and Anna Muller Kolbenstetter, Ruth lived in Hamilton, Ohio most of her life, retiring in Ft. Myers Beach before moving to Richmond. She was a graduate of Fairfield High School in Fairfield, Ohio. Ruth was an executive secretary for Beckett Paper Company for many years. She was active in the Ft. Myers Women's Club and volunteered at Hospice and at the local school. Ruth enjoyed playing bridge and other card games. Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Bill) Felker of Richmond; granddaughter, Karen (John) Burdette of Centerville; grandson, Mark (Kellie) Felker of Talledega, Alabama; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth (Brandon) Fowler, Emily and Justin Burdette and Taylor and Cameron Felker; great-great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Tanner, and Zachary Fowler; special sisters, Elaine Morner and Jane (Arky) Vaughn, both of Hamilton, Ohio, and Fay Wood of Frederick, Maryland; brother, Ray (Ann) Kolbenstetter of Hamilton, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her sons, Walter Scott Cooley and William H. Cooley; parents; sisters, Esther Kolbenstetter and Mary Ann Klink; brother, Robert Kolbenstetter; and special brother-in-law, Bob Morner. A celebration of life for Ruth E. Cooley will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Friends Fellowship Healthcare Center, 2030 Chester Blvd., Richmond. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Memorial contributions may be made to: a charity of the donor's choice.
