Pet fox euthanized without checking ownera s permit

The owner of a pet silver fox spoke in front of city council after the animal was euthanized, despite the owner's permit. Sunday, Oct. 6, Chloe Kristensen noticed her one-and-a-half year old fox, named Valo, had escaped from her yard.

Meteorologist Gary Garnet says the twisters developed from the same thunderstorm, and all four were given the weakest rating of EF-0. The first occurred near Stow High School in Summit County and lasted about a minute or two with winds reaching 85 mph.

Delaware County plan would divert sewage

Delaware County commissioners are considering diverting some of the county's sewage sludge from a landfill two counties north of here to a more eco-friendly system closer to home. Rather than ending up in a landfill in Crawford County, the 11,000 tons of human waste that Delaware County residents produce annually would be sent to a privately owned company near Ashley and the Delaware-Morrow county line.
