Since May, area residents have missed the enigmatic Phillip W. Sharp, known as "the Can Man."

The honor was given by Ted Shockley, editor of the News, at Broadwater's graduation ceremony in the Hall Center.

The recital will feature a variety of classical and contemporary selections. Many of Miles' students will join her in piano duets.

Any boat owner may register to participate in the event which is an opportunity to explore the bay from Onancock Creek to Occohannock Creek in a fun and leisurely finish.
