How come the residents of Evanston don't get a say in this? So one alderman who happens to be gay wants to advocate, not for his fellow residents, but for his own lifestyle. The requirements: the significant other must be 18 and the same sex as the employee. So what's to stop the massive pile on of people who will claim a relative, friend, etc as being their "significant same sex other".

Treating gay families as equal- granting equal marriage rights- would prevent this pile up.

I am against same-sex marriage. I have been married for 27 years... and for 27 years it's been the same sex... BORING!

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Pisces

Although you're busy putting the finishing touches to your Christmas preparations, you'll also have to pay attention to someone who's feeling neglected or unloved. Luckily, it won't take much to make this person feel better, so a big hug or a little consideration might do the trick. You should also bear in mind that they may be feeling nostalgic or sad about the past.
