Omro wants unimpeded boat traffic when Eureka bridge is replaced

With a goal of enhancing boat traffic on the Fox River the Omro City Council will consider a resolution in support of a minimum 10-foot center height for the new bridge at Eureka.

People affected by the replacement of the Eureka Bridge on County Highway K may want to attend an informational meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Rushford Town Hall at County K and Bell School Road.

Omro teen arrested after biting mother, holding her to the floor

Police arrested a 14-year-old boy after he held his mother to the floor for five to 10 minutes and bit her at their Adams Avenue residence Thursday, said Chief James Reed.
