I do find it strange that 56 votes available to be cast on a council position were not used. Does that mean that 28 voters only cast a vote for mayor? Did 56 voters only voted for 1 council? I do not understand not using all of the votes made available to you.

That's a good question. Maybe some people when voting not knowing anything about city council candidates elected not to vote for anyone. In the 2004 general election the Bartow County Sheriffs seat was on the ballot. I didn't care for either one of the candidates so I didn't vote for the sheriffs seat. Give all 56 votes to either Braselton or Jacobs they still didn't win so whats your point? I told you they would start complaining! LOL
Good question

There is an other scenario. Maybe the miller supporters didn't realize they could vote for more than one person on the ballot! Ever think of that?

I looked at the patterns for the past 3 elections for four cities in Bartow. This election for Euharlee has the highest percentage of non-cast votes. I don't know who the "they" is you're talking about and I did not say anything about a complaint. I just found it odd that that many available votes were not used. One of the re-elected said in the paper that they were surprised that they won.

Most likely some people did not realize they could vote for two council seats. If they had not kept up or had not read beforehand, then the natural assumption is to vote for one. All the votes were counted, I have no doubt. I know for myself that at times I have not voted on one race or another or an amendment because I had not properly prepared myself to know which candidate was best or whether or not I was in favor of the amendment. In a case like that I personally feel that it's best not to make a decision at all rather than vote for the wrong one. At first glace it may seem a little odd, but if you think about it, it's perfectly logical.

Unfortunately the vote count is right. I was shocked that Rick didn't get re-elected but as everyone is saying, he got sucked in with miller's BS and that is what cost him the election. We lost a good man. Way to go mike! You have a real talent for screwing up everything you touch. We would have been better off if Lance ran for mayor and your retarded ass stayed home. But no your the great Michael D. Miller Sr. Are you happy now?

Oh I'm sure Mike's elated. He got twice the number of votes he got last time, so that salves his ego. Of course, he probably has given no thought to the fact that there were three on the ballot last year and only two this year. Don't tell him that. He needs the ego boost. And Rick, bless his heart, followed Miller right on out of office. He should have known better than to hook up with a loser like that. Stupid choices usually yield bad results.

What part of this process do you all not get. Miller lost because he is a criminal and wife beater. Rick lost because he was a shake down artist and corrupt to the core. Lance Jacobs lost because he just doesn't have it to be a council member or mayor. So get over it and move on.

OMG - Rick supported Miller because he knew the real Miller. Ask Rick yourself. I did. I think any real human that knows the real story of the whole wife beater crap and child support junk would have a different thought about it. Oh, here, I'll say it for you...court records don't lie...no ,they don't BUT they also do not tell the whole story either. There is alot more to it but it is not mine to tell. It was all to get the ones in office THEY wanted. So we hear the crook - wife beater - no vet - liar - no god - bullcrap. Face it, you were used people. Thats why 50 something votes did not get used.

Are you saying that there is a good reason for domestic violence? Are you saying that a woman needs to be assaulted by a man? You're right about one thing. It was used to get other people in office. DESCENT ONES!

That's right and all the punks in jail are innocent. Miller is a Lier and a scumbag wife beater and fathers bastard children and even if this so called 50 votes were used he still would have lost. And another thing IDIOT if you are so sure he was cheated out of votes get a lawyer and suit the county. You are as dumb as the rest of these MF's on topixs. It's the scumbags of the world like you and miller who are uneducated, white trash a$$holes who see life through a crack pipe. You wouldn't have been born if your brother thought of wearing a rubber before he knocked up his mom.

For over a year stout said miller was the next mayor. miller was stout's hand picked boy. miller brought down Rick Braselton! stout didn't care he wasn't up for re-election. With friends like this who needs enemey's? We lost a great councilmen because of these two clowns. We won't forget this stout!

The problem is that, even if the opponents are everything everyone says, crooks are STILL in office. There needs to be a good choice and now we have a power-hungry group who wants everything for their friends and to lock everyone else out of any opportunity to do better for themselves or this community. Talk about back-room politics!

Stout will quit by January and this years election Braselton was the target. We didn't lose a good councilman, we got rig of a corrupt nail banger councilman and gained a honest educated councilman. And for your information it was Lance Jacobs who gave a good try at the councilmans job but he ended up stealing votes from braselton. Now if Stout doesn't quit, well what can I tell you. Oh I know! HE'S NEXT.

I can't believe all the excuses popping up here. Your buddies lost all of them. Get over it. Jerks

Let's wait and see if he's honest. The jury is still out on that one. If he's like the rest of those running the city now in the office as well on on the council, then we are in for much corruption. But, somehow, everyone who does that sort of thing gets theirs in the end. I just would like to help hurry that along a little bit, if I can.

Wait just a minute! The first time anyone on the council or the mayor act liked Braselton and Stout do, the coalition will be all over them. You just don't get it. People are sick of that behavior. The unsung hero or vilian here, depending which side you're on is Bobby Moore! Bobby Moore showed how the good ole boys were trying to take over, blame him. That is why the coalition kicked ass! The coalition will kick anyone's ass that put's their ass before the city. GOT IT?

Why don't you enlighten us dumbasses? Tell us who's corrupt. It's not productive to just run you mouth with no facts to back it up. So, if you hope to maintain any credibility at all, let us in on the secret corruption too. If you don't have any provable facts, shut the hell up. Is that so hard to comprehend?

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Gemini

It's a busy day and you've got quite enough to do without having to cope with people clamoring for your attention and likely to go into a huff if they don't get it. Is this person feeling neglected because you're busily occupied elsewhere or are there other reasons for their demanding mood? Simply giving them a big hug could make all the difference to their behavior.
