Waters receding; misery lingers

A kayaker paddles along River Road in Etowah Tuesday. The sun finally made an appearance Tuesday, ending four days of rain that swelled creeks and rivers, closed roads, downed trees and power lines and sent law enforcement and rescue workers to several accidents.
