This seems to be a sad use of propaganda by EPURA and poor journalism as well. I would like to read about the consequences of asbestos in the smoke from other knowledgeable and impartial sources.

Let the paranoia begin!
Busybodies are lined up waiting for their turn to whine about their own quixotic post-fire mission. |

These concerns are largely unfounded. Extensive testing was done in New York after 9/11 and found that while asbestos was found in the smoke and debris it did not travel very far, and if surfaces were HEPA vacuumed or cleaned with damp mops the airborne exposure was very low.
It is unlikely that the fire will cause the widespread asbestos problems that Dr. Crislip used as a segway into an EPURA diatribe. |
