I was in colorado a couple weekes ago and was in estes park theatre mall. I was in the shop mountain glass blowers. he stated that he had been having trouble with the oven inside of the shop could this have anything to do with the cause of the fire?

Perhaps, the fire was caused by friction among the many idiots in town.

Very sad. Estes is like our second home. Every trip out there held memories of walking through that mall. I'm 44 and have been going out there for about 40 years. I'm sure it will be devastating for those around there. It will be missed. I hope that someone has reprints available of the framed Lawn Lake Dam flood pictures that were hung in the hall/entry. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the people/businesses involved.

I am sorry for all the loss, but maybe it was meant to be.
I remember the days in 50's-70's when all you could see the Stanley Hotel from Hwy 34 or Hwy 36

My heart breaks as I look at the pic of what is left of the mall! My favorite Christmas shop was in there! I had a cabin in Estes growing up, so I have many memories there!

@ Rebecca - speaking of those pics of the flood...I am glad I took pictures of those pictures when I was there in August!

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Cancer

Mercury turning retro is offering you the chance to make sweeping and long-lasting changes to your life, and to clear the ground for some fertile growth in 2010. Lawyers and legal matters, debates, contract negotiations, partnership or other alliances, and joint ventures of any kind need attention. As a Cancerian you don't like endings, but you must now bring an end to any situation or relationship that is holding you back or has passed its sell-by date. Look forward, not back, if you want a glittering future.
