Changes coming to Escondido council in November?

Three members of the Escondido City Council are running for re-election in November and though the conservative majority led by Mayor Sam Abed appears likely to be retained, one significant change is possible that will empower, to some extent, the lone liberal council voice of Olga Diaz. Abed is being challenged by political newcomer Paul "Mac" McNamara, who has been campaigning for more than a year.
