This may be the part of the stimulus that has the most benefit over the long term. Can't believe republicans are against it. Political BS.

GOP needs to keep their base ignorant and dependent on AM radio as long as possible.

I have read the entire article, and did not see any republican dissent, what is your source?

I was following Salena Vito's tweets the day Biden was here are she spoke condescendingly of the citizens of Erie County.

Tell rural dwellers to buy a satellite card for $20 on overstock.com , or spend billions on rural broadband.

I can believe many people including some Republicans are against this wasteful spending.

I think the idea is that this is one way to get jobs here. Do you want a handout instead?

You sound like you don't know how much about satellite internet. I'm no expert, but I think it involves having a satellite dish and paying a monthly access fee. Is all this included in the $20 you quoted?

Who is she and who cares? If you go out into the farmland you won't find a Starbucks. Did this upset her?

Well, sounds like you've never lived in the rural areas. A high percentage of rural homes have satellite dishes.

I don't know about your internet -- I pay a monthly fee, don't you?

Sure do, just asking Flower Mound to include it in her $20 qoute. Turns out satellite monthly fees are twice the normal monthly fees.

So....are the rural people who will get the benefit of the $4,700,000,000.00 willing to pay for it or not?

Er-ez, I think, is saying they are not willing to pay for the access and Er-ez doesn't sound willing to consider a less expensive alternative.

AGAIN, what I said is that satellite costs more than the $20 that Flower Mound quoted. Flower Mound misrepresented the costs, direct your cost figures to him/her, not me. Verstehen Sie?

I'm not a spokesman for rural America, but many people say the cost of satellite is too expensive. That's the economic reality of the situation around here, maybe its different in Texas.

The proposed spending is $7 billion not $4 billion, by the way.

Also, Please don't jump to conclusions and attach my name to them as you did here. I don't need you to misintrepret my writings for people. Thanks in advance.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Leo

The atmosphere is highly combustible today, with people getting in a stew over the smallest little thing. You will also have a tendency to get hot under the collar, especially if someone isn't doing things as quickly as you'd like. Try to stop yourself getting in a rage because once that happens it will be difficult to cool down again. Maybe you need some fresh air?
