Basically: §211 California Penal Code: Robbery is the taking of personal property of another by means of force or fear. §459 CPC: Anyone who enters the premises of another with the intent to commit grand or petit larceny or any felony is guilty of burglary. This was a burglary with the added charges of assault on a police officer, hit & run and evading police. Of course, this newspaper and the Daily Repulsive quite often will put "Robbery" in the headline even though it's a burglary or even petty theft. |

"petit larceny"...just had to laugh at that one. What's the PC for "overweight larceny" ?? Just having fun with this one, Caveat. I know that was just a typo. |

10-4! I would also be surprised if the perp had a valid license, insurance, valid registration and was wearing a seat belt? No time to gab on the cell, with driving like that! The tossed items may also incur a littering charging, but that was not reported. |

I too laugh at that:-) Usually,'petit' means "small". But in this case it means "petty" as in "petty theft". But, that's how it's printed in the Penal Code. I guess it must of been some Frenchman who wrote that one up. -- How about "Plus-sized" larceny or "Big but beautiful" larceny? |

No Callen St. is just a tweeker neighborhood...Elmira is, well a whole town of tweekers rats. They scurry into the bushes when you drive by. The Cabin is nice though. |
