This was a burglary with the added charges of assault on a police officer, hit & run and evading police.
Of course, this newspaper and the Daily Repulsive quite often will put "Robbery" in the headline even though it's a burglary or even petty theft.

I too laugh at that:-) Usually,'petit' means "small". But in this case it means "petty" as in "petty theft". But, that's how it's printed in the Penal Code. I guess it must of been some Frenchman who wrote that one up.
