New Silver Alert system has been used five times
The state's new Silver Alert system to help find missing adults with dementia or other problems has been used five times since the law authorizing it went into effect July 1, and officials expect the alerts will be issued even more as more people battle Alzheimer's disease.
Today Lenore Skirvin Bilodeau turned 94. Doug's mom didn't remember it was her birthday when we picked her up at the nursing home, but boy, she sure was happy to know she had a party to attend! She had to ask a number of times on the way there where we were going and whose birthday was it.
