Glenn County authorities are investigating a stabbing incident that may have occurred late Sunday night at Stony Gorge Reservoir, near Elk Creek.

Lightning storms Saturday afternoon caused small fires to break out in Butte, Glenn and Tehama counties.

Firefighters are working fires from lightning strikes in several areas this afternoon, with the most activity currently in the Concow area.

A man was found dead Sunday on County Road 303 after he apparently lost control of his truck and hit a tree.

California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Tehama County Fire Department announced they have increased staffing of their fire stations in anticipation of the upcoming fire season.
