Life Jacket Saves Angler

Rescuers say a life jacket most likely saved the life of an Eleva man. David Nelson was fishing on the Chippewa River yesterday near downtown Eau Claire when the current pulled his raft into the fall and flipped it.

Western Wisconsin got hit with heavy rains and flash floods overnight. Parts of Pepin County reported more than 6-inches of rain in just 2-hours. There were also mudslides in Pepin, Pierce, and Buffalo counties.
