A pair of hikers who became lost near South Arapahoe Peak were rescued Sunday after emergency workers used a cellphone to determine their location.

The 82 houses in Gold Hill -- which were built, on average, in 1939 -- are still scattered about on the dirt roads that wiggle through the foothills west of Boulder.

A young woman whose body was discovered earlier today near Eldora apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said.
