Texas sales tax receipts plunge
By AMAN BATHEJA Texas sales tax revenue took its biggest tumble of the year this summer, according to a report released Friday by the comptroller's office.The state collected $1.75 billion in revenue in August, 12.5 percent less than in August 2008.
