Efforts under way to help families of accident victims

Two Wayne County teenagers were transported to an Indianapolis hospital with severe injuries early Sunday, Wayne County Sheriff Jeff Cappa said.

James "Larry" Moore
<![CDATA[ECONOMY, Ind. - James "Larry" Moore, age 71, of Economy, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at his residence. James had a long courageous battle with cancer. He fought a good fight and is at peace with the Heavenly Father. Born October 7, 1942, in Richmond, to Herbert Theodore and Mary Jane Hughes Moore, he was a life-long resident of this area. James was a 1962 graduate of Williamsburg High School. He worked at Richmond Gear as a machinist and tow-motor operator; Maul Brothers, Inc. in shipping; AMCAST as a tow-motor operator; and Achieva Resources Rest Area on I-70 in maintenance. James was a member of the National Rifleman's Association, Monroe Township Conservation Club, and the Economy Volunteer Fire Department. He liked to trap shoot and fish. James loved the outdoors and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a very honest man who was full of integrity. Survivors include his wife, Janet Lamb Moore to whom he was married November 9, 1962; son, Mike (Peggy) Moore of Garrett, Indiana; daughter, Lori (Allen) Hetisimer of Greens Fork; four grandchildren, Angie (Jonathon) Girton, Ana (Stephen) Smith, and Justin and Taylor Hetisimer; three great-grandchildren, Jaxton and Dawson; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Aavyn; parents; and brother, Robert Moore. Visitation for James Moore will be from 3 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville. Funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Adam Rinehart officiating. Burial will be in Economy Cemetery.
