Eatonville's planned boat launch irks Winter Park neighbors

Its a shame but the WP folks have a point, unfortunately many of those in Eatonville trash their own neighborhoods and could care less about trashing a nice lake with the same trash, wrappers, cans, etc.

Tony Grant ain't nuttin' but a barber playin' the race card. I woud like to know how much environmental stewardship he was taught at Orlando Barber College. "College," like "Mayor."

look to pine hills as a very good example of what happens when diversity happens. look at eatonville one block each way beyond their main drag. i rest my case

I have been on that lake it is too small for power boats. I think that should be the only restriction. The Mayor sure comes off looking stupid with the race card.

Each week there is a new story about how Grant is tryin to make a name for himself and his city. WP may be harsh in their word, but no matter how harsh they are true. Eatonville residents have no regard for their own property why the hell would they care about others?

Or how about the son of his who runs with the "eatonville boys". A game that names themselves the ....eatonville boys...... fairys.

If it is about getting Mr. Grant and his "boats" on a lake he can drive less than a mile to lake maitland. The fact is Bell is to small for power boats...

the only reason him and his eatonville boys wont ride onto Lake Maitland is because the City of Maitland actually puts Police on that lake....we know how Grant and Police mix.

this is why america is going to become a second tier country-the logical thing to do here would be to ban all powerboats and build a nice park in eatonville where the residents can fish and swim and use non motorized small boats. the mayor has called me a racist because i do not want motor boats in the lake. this type of thinking should have him impeached for lack of judgment and defamation of character.

Either ban the powerboats completely on that lake or stop crying.

I am on the west coast and not at all surprised by this response from the Winter Park residents.

watch out for boat jacking in the future on lake bell, more morons in political office that don't have a clue, the lake will be trashed in short order

I drove around Eatonville yesterday for the first time, the Town regardless of what you read is no pine hills, the area has alot of nice new homes and the main road looks great. I am not a Mayor Grant fan, however Eatonville look clean and nice.

Sorry WP the lake is not yours if you want that move to isleworth(oh, not enough cash)

Hey USMC182 The point is not whether there is another lake, this lake borders Eatonville, it is theirs to use, now if the issue is power boats then JUST BAN THEM, but the property owners want them, YOu can't have you cake and eat it too! But we all know thats not the issue!

Isn't the majority of the lake paying Winter Park taxes? If there were Eatonville homeowners on the other side I'll bet they wouldn't want a public ramp either. It isn't about race. It's homeowner vs. boat ramp user. Mayor Grant needs to calm down the rhetoric.

Not to worry. If E-ville is having to pay for the ramp it won't happen.
