Second Caroline County Official Fired
Caroline county officials are saying little about the reasons for this week's back-to-back firings of county administrator Charles Cawley and the head of the county planning office, Stacey Weisner.
Weisner tells The (Easton) Star Democrat she was informed of her firing by acting county administrator Rick Barton on Wednesday, one day after Cawley was terminated. She says she recently received a favorable performance review from Cawley.
Barton says the county commissioners made the decision the fire Weisner and it was his duty to carry out their directive.
