If you want more imformation about Connecticut Statute 8-30G it is available online.

Points to consider. It's a forty year commitment filed on the deed to your property for 8-30G affordable homes. It is only 10 years for accessory apartments and mobile homes, yes, a trailer park could be done in 90 days to reach moratorium. Only a 10 year commitment. 12 rentals = 24 points. Currently, no solutions, just mass distraction.

Legal fees vs 12 FEMA trailers. You decide.

Masters of density. The old library site project is being farmed-out to another company for 100 years. So much for "masters of destiny".

I am an independant candidate for First Selectman.

Has the News-Review analyzed the outcome of the affordable housing units build in the 1980s next to the train station? Did the buyers achieve financial success due to the purchase of units that were below market prices at the time? Have any of them sold the units, and if so, who received the increase in value - did the town receive any of it, or was it all pocketed by the owner?

Darien is a small community. So, has anyone checked if more units can be built for a lower cost just across the town line with Stamford or Norwalk? Aren't those communities "economically connected" with Darien? If the goal truly is to create housing, why not get more units for the same cost right down the road. People can drive their cars into downtown Darien in less than 5 minutes along the Post Road or West Ave. What's the real goal of the state legislation - creating housing or changing a community's economic makeup by claiming that the goal is more affordable housing?

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Leo

It's hard to pin down a certain person today because they're being so vague and dithery. Ask them a question and they'll vacillate or be unable to give you a straight answer. You might suspect them of deceitful goings on but it's far more likely that they're simply in a world of their own and can't keep their mind on anything for long. Don't worry, they'll soon be back on planet earth.
